Custom control panels are fully engineered, packaged solutions created to address the specific operational needs of each project. These systems often combine multiple elements — such as automation and control hardware, power distribution components, MCC units, field instrumentation, and monitoring subsystems — into one integrated platform.
The term “custom control panel” may sound complex, but in reality, nearly every panel we manufacture is designed to suit a particular application. Industrial and process environments are rarely identical, which is why each system requires a purpose-built solution. Our engineering team collaborates closely with you to understand your process requirements and develops a design using widely available, proven components. Before manufacturing begins, we submit a comprehensive design package for your review, which typically includes mechanical layouts, electrical schematics, a detailed bill of materials, datasheets and specifications for key devices, and documented control logic.
Because of our extensive experience and proactive approach to supply chain
management — including stocking many long-lead materials — we’re able to design
and deliver custom solutions quickly. We also offer modifications to standard
enclosures by machining cutouts, installing accessories, or integrating
additional devices, which significantly reduces lead times compared to fully
bespoke builds. Of course, when a completely custom-built enclosure is
required, we can fabricate one to suit, though that may require additional
time.
The form factor, dimensions, and classification of each panel are defined by
the project scope. Regardless of size or complexity, every solution we build is
engineered and manufactured in strict adherence to all relevant industry codes,
safety standards, and certification requirements.
We can design systems for a wide variety of specialized and demanding
conditions — including explosion-proof, flame-proof, arc-resistant, purged (air
or inert gas), deep- submersion, high-temperature, and other specialized
certified builds. Additional features can include remote junction boxes with
custom instrumentation, emergency stop and safety interlock devices, light
curtains, visual and audible alarm indicators, strobe or hazard warning
systems, operator interface stations with touchscreens or keyboards,
communication modules (Ethernet, wireless, fiber), vision-based inspection
integration, cybersecurity layers, database connectivity, IIoT capability, and
cloud-ready infrastructure. Every project is engineered individually to meet
its unique set of requirements.
Designing and building a custom control panel is a multidisciplinary process
that demands a deep understanding of electrical engineering, electronics,
control theory, instrumentation, computer systems, PLC and DCS integration,
signal conditioning, software and hardware design, mechanical construction,
safety and protection systems, environmental considerations, regulatory
compliance, documentation, and quality assurance.Producing a reliable custom
solution also depends on the expertise of highly trained professionals —
including certified engineers, skilled panel fabricators, experienced wiring
and assembly technicians, and quality specialists — all of whom ensure that
each system is built precisely to specification and performs as intended in the
field.
